CHARLOTTE, N.C. (June 5, 2018) – AmWINS Program Underwriters (“APU”) today announced a partnership with Liberty Mutual to provide insurance solutions for APU’s Home Health Care and Medical Facilities programs.

For more than 40 years, the Home Health Care and Medical Facilities programs have covered the ever-evolving needs of the healthcare industry. Both programs are available nationally and written on a non-admitted basis by Liberty, which is rated A (Excellent) by A.M. Best Company. Property & Bond coverage are offered on an admitted basis.

Enhancements to the Home Health Care and Medical Facilities programs as a result of the new partnership with Liberty include:

• A new coverage form that packages PL, CGL, EBL, and NOHA under one policy
• Coverage provided for Property of Patient in Care of Insured (with a sublimit)
• Option to include coverage for Physicians (subject to underwriting and pricing)
• A Bodily Injury definition that includes mental anguish and mental injury on CGL
• Sexual Abuse included within the definition of “Professional Services Wrongful Act”
• PL that includes Independent Contractors as Insureds while working within scope of duties for Named Insured
• A policy form that is silent with regard to Punitive Damages
• Worldwide coverage (claim must be filed in U.S.)
• Defense costs outside limits
