Diversity & Inclusion

At Amwins, we speak a lot about our 150-year vision. Our diversity and inclusion efforts, like other key strategies that we are focused on, are part of the long journey to greatness. As a firm, we recognize the real immediate benefit of having a diverse workforce and cultivating an environment that creates opportunities for all employees.  Plus, it is just the right thing to do.

We encourage people from historically underrepresented groups to apply, including people of all races, religions, national origins, genders, sexual orientations, gender identities, gender expressions, and ages, as well as veterans and individuals with disabilities

Amwins Commitment to Diversity & Inclusion

Amwins team members deserve to work where they feel like they can be their true selves while contributing to the success of the organization. We strive to provide such a workplace and we emphasize building and maintaining a diverse and inclusive culture for all employees. Welcoming diverse viewpoints strengthens our firm and positions us for long-term success. Most importantly, it encourages teamwork and a sense of shared belonging.

Amwins D&I Action

Moving from conversation to action is where we demonstrate the authenticity that makes us different. Amwins, supported by our employee-led Diversity & Inclusion Council, focuses on four primary areas:

  • Ensuring diversity within recruiting
  • Partnering with associations supporting diversity
  • Achieving an inclusive workplace
  • Career development and advancement

In addition to the work of the Council, we partner with organizations leading the charge to foster diversity and inclusion in our industry. Our CEO Scott Purviance, signed the CEO Action for Diversity and Inclusion pledge, joining more than 2,000 other CEOs in this commitment to lead change from the front.
