AmWINS Group, Inc., today announced that Ben Francavilla has been named President of AmWINS Program Underwriters ("APU").

In this role, Francavilla will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of AmWINS Program Underwriters, a managing general agency specializing in affinity and program management. Based in Camp Hill, PA, APU administers more than 20 programs generating in excess of $110 million in premium.

"Ben is ideally suited for this role," said Steven DeCarlo, AmWINS Group’s CEO. "He has been deeply involved in managing the company’s marketing efforts along with new program development for the past several years. He brings a wealth of knowledge, charisma and experience to the position."

Francavilla joined APU in 1993 and most recently served as its Senior Managing Director as well as Director of Program Development for AmWINS’ underwriting division.

In assuming this new role, Francavilla succeeds Larry Bitner who recently announced his retirement after serving as President of APU for over 10 years.

"I would like to express my genuine appreciation for Larry’s contributions to AmWINS over the years. He has played a valuable role in positioning APU for long-term success," said DeCarlo.
