AmWINS Group, Inc. pleased to announce that Corinne Jones, Executive Vice President of Operations for AmWINS Access Insurance Services, has been elected President-Elect of the American Association of Managing General Agents (AAMGA). She will begin her term in May of this year and serve until May 2017, when she will become President of the organization.

“There is no doubt that the landscape of distribution is changing. With her expertise and more than 35 years of experience in the managing general agency arena, I am confident that Corinne will continue to move the AAMGA forward during these dynamic times,” says AmWINS Access president Ben Sloop.

Corinne plans to focus on information management, diversity and collaboration. “I want to encourage open dialogue, education and outreach to welcome all AAMGA members,” she says. “I also hope to help determine the best ways to deliver and organize pertinent marketplace information, while empowering members to share their expertise and act on new ideas.”

Also elected to AAMGA’s leadership team is Liam Hutelmyer of AmWINS Transportation Underwriters, who was elected vice president of AAMGA’s Under Forty Organization (UFO). The UFO provides young insurance professionals with an opportunity to network, learn and exchange ideas with one another.
