Riva Dumeny serves as the president of the Group Benefits Division, where she is responsible for developing business and operational strategies and then facilitating these efforts across the Group Benefits organization. Prior to taking on this role within the company, Riva has served in several executive roles with Amwins including executive vice president of Operations and Strategy, senior vice president and chief operating officer of Amwins Group Benefits LLC.

 

With more than 18 years in the industry, Riva has worked for Connextions, which was acquired by UnitedHealth Group in August of 2011, and held a variety of roles under UHG’s service umbrella of Optum, including vice president and service division leader, where she was responsible for various client relationships, primarily focused on Healthcare Benefits organizations, with $98M P&L and corresponding strategic account plans. She is a member of the Council of Insurance Agents and Brokers, the Council of Employee Benefits Executives and the Diamond Committee of the Self Insurance Institute of America.  

Riva holds a bachelor’s degree from Rollins College and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Pennsylvania – The Wharton School. She splits her time between Orlando, FL and Charlotte, NC. She and her husband have three children, Aislyn, Casen and Ryla.
