Woodus K. Humphrey & Company, Inc. is a specialty managing general agency (MGA) concentrating in the area of property and casualty insurance for woodworking facilities including sawmills, furniture manufacturers, wood chip mills, wood treating plants, truss manufacturers, pallet plants, retail lumber yards, and other companies working with wood. We work directly with retail insurance agents and brokers.

While our main office and service staff are in Shreveport, Louisiana, our field representatives around the country provide loss control, engineering, and underwriting services.

Because we have such extensive understanding of the woodworking industry, we inspect every risk prior to accepting it. Once coverage is placed, we diagram the premises and make comprehensive original surveys for our carrier and agency use. We also make property preservation inspections from one to four times per year depending upon the occupancy and protection of the risk.
